The Raynes Foundation provides various types of grants for charitable work in the UK, focusing on core costs and long-term projects. The five funding priorities for the "Our Natural World" iniaitve are peat, space for nature, freshwater, nature-friendly farming, and fishing in tandem with nature. Applicants are encouraged to align their work with these priorities and demonstrate how their work contributes to the identified long-term outcomes. The initiative supports partnerships and organizations working across multiple areas. It also emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly by funding more organizations led by communities experiencing racial inequity and promoting inclusive recruitment and governance practices. Specific long-term outcomes for each priority include eliminating peat from horticultural products, restoring peatland sites, increasing nature-rich spaces, and restoring freshwater-dependent wildlife and habitats.
